I understand Buffalo hogged the national news for a few days during our unbelievable storm. We know snow but have never seen so much fall in such a short amount of time. Most of the natives from this area didn't remember anything like this either. Apparently, it's being compared to the terrible storm of '77 for this area, but the snowfall amount in this storm even surpassed that. Crazy!
Here's a few pictures/videos that we were able to snap from just around our house. It was truly a memorable experience and it would have been an absolute shame to live in Buffalo for a year and not experience a major storm. ;) We're sooooo thankful that we had food, electricity, and the Baby Hazel did not decide to make her appearance early. For many others, this storm has been absolutely devastating with losses of life, businesses, housing, and income. It was pretty damaging as a whole for the entire area. Perhaps the oddest piece of this entire puzzle was how quickly it mostly melted--in just a few days! (???)
Enjoy the picture walk through our week... you'll be able to see a bit of progression of accumulation as you scroll down.
