Grandma Sue Came to Visit

The post title says it all: GRANDMA SUE CAME TO VISIT!  Our first official NY visitor and oh boy did we keep her busy!  A friend of hers that she used to work with was traveling to Toronto and asked mom if she wanted to ride along.  Of course, mom said yes!  Her stay was initially going to be for two weeks, then hitch a one-way flight back home through Buffalo.  Well... the weather had different plans.  The morning she was supposed to leave it snowed 26 inches in about 12 hours.  The snow continued heavily for three days reaching a grand total 71 inches in our town of Orchard Park.  (Future blog post on that whole ordeal will be coming soon...)  Needless to say, with the snow, travel bans, and other snow circumstances, she stayed with us for an extra 5ish days.  After some delays at the airport she got back to the farm safe and sound late Sunday night.  Thanks again for coming to visit us, Grandma Sue!  We loved having you here!

Here are some pictures from her trip.  The first adventure we took her on was a trip to Niagara Falls.  Since she did not have a passport, we did not intend on traveling to Canada, however, after misreading GPS and getting bottle necked on a bridge, before we knew it we crossed the boarder.  Below is the only picture I nabbed (outside of the security check/boarder patrol) to prove that she made it to Canada. ;)
