A little known fact is that Haune's FAVORITE movie is the Sound of Music.  Needless to say, he was quite excited to see it playing on T.V. on Christmas Eve.  It looks like we have another Julie Andrews fan on our hands.  She was mesmerized!

This continues to be one of my very favorite pictures of all time!  It was taken just one quick year ago...  MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!!!

Mrs. Claus and Mrs. Paws

Our family also has some other exciting news to share: my brother, Ryan, recently became engaged to Abbie Shaner!  We're so happy for the two of them--welcome to the family, Abbie!  Below is a recent picture of the two of them from Cal's baptism.

Weekend in Hubbard

We recently traveled to my hometown of Hubbard for an extended weekend where we celebrated Christmas, again, with my side of the family.  We had a great time hanging out at the farm, going to church, checking out Hubbard's NEW and BEAUTIFUL library, opening gifts, visiting our friends the Cathcarts (thanks again for sharing your family with us, Steph!), playing cards, and simply just hanging out.  Below are some pictures and videos of our four day weekend:

Julia enjoyed playing with all of her Uncle Ryan's tractors, trucks, and other farm equipment.

The children's section at the brand-new Hubbard Public Library.
We just can't get enough of that Santa outfit.

Watching the sunrise on the farm with Daddy.

The Cathcarts stopped by to meet Cal for the first time.  Stephanie and I have been friends since
we were two, so it's always nice to pick up where we left off... plus spouses... and now four children.

It's funny how quickly kiddos can catch on to fun holiday activities such as trick-or-treating and opening up Christmas gifts!

A gift for our Bird Girl from Grandpa and Grandma--a PEACOCK!
Now her bird collection is complete with all of her favorites, Mr. Crow, an owl, and a peacock.

Once again Cal really enjoyed opening up Christmas gifts.

So much fun--so much sleep!

Just a few pictures from the last week:

Tummy time loveis from big sister

My mom worked between 850-1,000 hours making this counted cross stitch heirloom stocking for Julia.
It's BEAUTIFUL!  Thanks, Mom... we all love it!

Julia's first haircut from Aunt Jane started off just fine...

... but then got a little tough at the end!  Thanks, Aunt Jane!

As always, we love visiting the Johnson crew.  Here's Ms. Riley Jane decorating Haune.

Lovin' Our Family of Four

We've been busy simply enjoying life.  Here's a brief synopsis of what's been going on: Santa has officially come to Rochester, we've had lots of wonderful visits from our friends in town, and we've spent lots of time cuddling with our two kiddos.

Santa was stuck on top of Old City Hall!

Whew!  Thank you Rochester Fire Department!

Watching a baby sleep never gets old, does it?!  There's something pretty cute at the very end of this video:

Thanksgiving and Cal's Baptism

We had such a fun (and busy) Thanksgiving weekend!  We spent Thanksgiving Day with Haune's side of the family and also snuck in a little family Christmas celebration as well.  That Saturday we baptised Cal as well.  We had family members in attendance from five different states.  We were so touched to be able to spend time with both sides of our family.  Below are just a few pictures from the fun extended weekend.

Thanksgiving:

Aunt Sonya and Uncle Brendan were the firsts to arrive.

Cousins Elijah and Cal.  What a difference nearly 4 months makes!

A walk around Rochester after a yummy Thanksgiving meal.

Christmas:

Yaya got a sweet new bike for Christmas!

Julia got a beautiful kitchen from Grandpa and Grandma Hauan.

Haune and Yaya enjoyed making beautiful music together:

Cal LOVED his first Christmas and is going to really enjoy wearing these Keens.  (Sorry for the pink blanket,
Buddy.  Sometimes when you have an older sister you'll  get some of her hand-me-downs...)

The fellas banked a load of tickets at the House of Bounce

Saturday, November 26th ~ Cal's baptism:

Meeting Great-Grandma Ramona

Meeting Ryan and Abbie

The whole crew who made it for his baptism.  THANK YOU, family, for traveling such a long distance
to make Cal's baptism day so very special!  We love you all and really appreciate your support!
