Video Updates

Here are some videos of the kids around the house this week--with the exception of Julia's gymnastics videos.  Tonight will be her final class.  For the past three Wednesdays we've practiced gymnastics skills such as: marching, balancing, tumbling, marching, and making a "mountain" to name a few through our local Community Education program.  We have ALL enjoyed it.  Hope you enjoy the videos!

*Here's a video viewing tip: after clicking on the "play" button, hit it again to "pause" the video while the small gray bar loads.  Once it's fully loaded you'll be able to view the videos clearly and without interruptions.*

Two Months Old

Yes, our little man is two months old already...  It has quite possibly been the fastest two months of my life!  He continues to be an easy baby--he's so happy, smiley, and sweet.  (We're not biased or anything though!)  He has brought so much joy to our family--we love you so much, Cal!

Recovering

Not much has been going on here lately besides lots of recovering: from a black eye (Julia), from the flu (Haune and Julia), and from an ear infection (Julia).  Last Saturday I was vomited on three times (score 2 for Julia and 1 for Cal) and peed on twice (score 2 for Cal).  In the midst of all of this I was able to take a few pictures and a video.  I'm happy to announce that everyone is doing much better now.  Cal had his two month well check and all seems to be going quite well for him.  He weighs 12 pounds and is in the 60th percentile for weight and for height and 70th percentile for height.  He is getting more and more smiley every day and I think I may have even made him laugh for the first time this afternoon.  What fun!

Happy bear...

... Sad Bear.  This is her first black eye.  :(

He is such a happy little boy!

My friend Susie mentioned that there isn't a lot of pictures of me on the blog since I'm usually the one behind the camera.
This one is for you, Susie!!!

New Year's in Sioux Falls

We traveled to Sioux Falls for New Year's to meet up with Haune's family: Great-Grandma Marcella, the Hauans, Kinzleys, and Forsters.  Cal got to meet lots of people and loved getting lots of hugs and kisses.  This was the first New Year's Eve as a married couple that we were in bed long before the ball dropped.  I think two kiddos under two does that to a couple.  Thanks for the great weekend, Hauan family!

Merry Christmas from Great Grandma Marcella.  She spoiled our children so!

Cal's new sweater from Great Grandma.  We're thinking the St. Louis Cardinal fans will love it as well next fall.

Happy late birthday, Grandma Gloria!  We love you!

Christmas Eve and Christmas Day

We celebrated the Christmas holiday here in Rochester for the first time.  My Aunt Jane had her hip replaced at Mayo right before Christmas so my Mom and Dad were able to both be with her during and after her surgery as well as spend time with us all of us at our house.  After they all headed back to Hubbard on Christmas Day, we met up with our friends the Lanzas downtown at the Peace Plaza where we took in some holiday music and Christmas lights.  Funny thing though, no one was around--we had the entire area to ourselves and I must say it was pretty cool.

Below are some pictures from Christmas:
