On April 30th, 2013 Dad fell asleep on Earth and woke up in heaven. We miss him tremendously but are comforted by friends and family members who also loved him and are sharing in our grief. I'm blessed to have had Dad in my life for 30 years and selfishly wished for many more but my time is not God's time. Dad loved his family very much and never met a stranger he couldn't visit with. We miss him so much, but perhaps a bit of Dad can live on in us all: he lived out and professed his faith and always treated others with kindness, love, and respect. We should all strive to treat others as Dad did. What special man he was. He is greatly missed but not forgotten.

Oh Jill, what a great walk down memory lane. The tears are flowing! You are absolutely right, he was one of the greatest men most of us will ever have the privilege of knowing and loving and we should all strive to be like him. Can't wait for Part II!
