Blast From the Past - May

May was here and gone in the blink of an eye for us.  We spent the first part of the month taking in all of our favorite St. Louis activities that we had loved over the past few years.

Haune graduated on May 20th, two days after I had an ovarian cyst removed.  (All went well with that, by the way.)  His graduation was so bittersweet for our family.  When we moved to St. Louis, Julia was barely two and Cal was only seven months old. Reflecting back on our time there was amazing... difficult at times... but mostly amazing.  We made great life-long friends, grew together as a family, and also had a lot of fun along the way.  The day after graduation, my friends Tracie, Amy, and I threw a luau-style hog roast for 210 people.  It was a ton of fun and truly a memorable party.

Three days after graduation, Haune traveled to India for 19 days with a group of guys from the Sem.  Meanwhile I was squeezing in final play dates and STL adventures.  Oh yeah, and packing up our apartment too.  On June 10th we said goodbye to our good friends-like-family and took off for our new life in Algona, Iowa.  Whew, what a busy and memorable month that was.

Day trip to the Arch and a Cardinals game:

Fun STL day with the Douglas crew too!

Graduation weekend: Diploma Service at the Chapel, Julia's kindergarten Field Day, Graduation Ceremony, and Hog Roast.

The 4th Year wives taking a "toe dip" as a nod to the guys' Greek fountain jump from 1st year.

While Haune was in India, the kids and I traveled to Evansville, IN for a few days to visit our friends the Matheny's.
