Weekend With Mommy

Last weekend the kids and I were having fun in St. Louis while Daddy went on a 3 day missional-focused trip with some guys here at the Sem.  We kept a busy and fun schedule, enjoy the pics of our sweeties!

Play time around the apartment:

A few days before Daddy left there was a hot air balloon festival in Forest Park.  We had fun with some other Sem families and enjoyed watching the hot air balloons from the soccer field.

The kids and I went on an adventure and found all kinds of fun things to put in our sensory table:

Our sweeties.

I have been wanting to take the kids to the Museum of Transportation... as soon as a deal came up on Groupon I snatched it up and saved it for our "Mommy Weekend."  It was a fun place to visit... hope to go back soon!

The sign read, "Ring the bell to let us know
you're here."  That we did.

Calboy LOVES Choo Choos!  He was even
a little "Star Struck" when we first got there...
he had to take it all in from his stroller for a bit.
After a few mins he was prancing around everywhere,
totally pumped!

We completed four laps on the miniature train ride...

A view from the train.

Hanging out in a caboose.  (Cal's favorite train car.)

We enjoyed a fun Saturday afternoon with our friends the Burges:

Preston, Baby Trace, and Julia.  (Julia LOVES Preston!  Look at her pose next to him!)

Cal, Preston, Trace, Julia, and Boston.

For our final mommy adventure I took the kids bowling with a free pass that Julia won through our library's summer reading program.  They really had a blast and seemed to enjoy it.  Though, if I'm truly honest with myself, I know that they just mostly enjoyed watching the bowling ball pop back up through the chute.  We'd go back, that's for sure!

Wait for it...

Yay!  It's amazing EVERY time!

It sometimes took a while for the ball to get all the way down to the pins...

Happy boy!

  1. Wicked Fun! Wicked fun, indeed! You know, seeing the ball pop back up IS the best part of bowling! Hee hee! I will have to check out groupon. Oh, and I won't tell Hunter about Preston. ;-) Hugs!
