Home in Hubbard

Upon returning from the Black Hills the kids and I were able to be in Hubbard for a while.  We really enjoyed our time there and appreciate the quietness of small town living.  Enjoy the pics!

This is Grandpa Gene's pedal car from approximately 1947.

We always need a hair cut from Aunt Jane!  The kids enjoyed playing "beauty shop" with one another.

"Thanks for everything, Aunt Jane!"

"We love Grandma Sue and Aunt Jane!"
Posing with the locals outside of the Hubbard Library.

"Thanks for the playdate, Bella!"

Grandma Sue's house was under construction as they were finishing up the last two rooms with the hardwood floors, a project that Dad really wanted to get done for Mom.  I had two very good little helpers along!

The nearly finished product.
Some farm pictures:

The north barn might not be standing too much longer...

I "farmed" rounds with dad perched up on this arm rest.

We also got to see Great Grandma Ramona
as well!

Julia was pumped for the live music at our local restaurant.
She played all the hits!

On the way home we swung through Iowa City to visit my cousin Laura and her family who just moved back to Iowa.  These cousins had a very FUN time together!

Amelia is in on the fun too... at the top of
the slide with her mommy.
