Botanical Gardens and ER

We had a busy week!  I had parent/teacher conferences making for extended work days, coupled with Haune's quarter starting up again, tripled with me being at the Ozarks for an early childhood conference on Friday and Saturday.  To boot, Cal took an icky spell and fell face first into a wooden foot rest on Thursday night.  After a quick trip to the ER and a bit of Motrin, the gash on his eyelid is healing, though it's still a bit bruised.  Also, the swelling has gone down by now so he's starting to look a bit more like himself.  I'm sure it's not going to be this little boy's first and only trip to the ER!  It's all good though and I must note that Haune did a great job of being Mr. Mom/Dad while I was at my conference.  :)  Before our week started up we were able to get to the Botanical Gardens and enjoy a little family outing.  Enjoy!

Botanical Garden Orchid Festival

We had a great day at the Botanical Gardens!
We can't wait until we can go back after Spring has Sprung!

If you look closely you can see the steri strip
above his right eye.  The couldn't do stitches even if they
wanted to because the gash was on his eyelid fold.  They said
it was a "perfect" would and should heal nicely!  Oh brother!
(Never mind the bit of supper still on his face...)
