One Fun Trip to the Black Hills!

Last week the kids and I caravanned to the Black Hills with Haune's sister, Erin and Baby Elijah, as well as Grandma Marcella.  Despite some interesting weather traveling out there and numerous stops for nursing, stretching, and snacking we made it all safe and sound and a WONDERFUL time!  Julia loved playing with her little cousin Elijah (while big sister Yaya and Daddy Chris were in Africa for a little visit) and also loved spending time with Grandma Gloria and Papa Mark.  She quickly became "Grandma's Girl" and loved every minute she was able to spend with her family.  Cal continues to be a happy little guy and is such a joy in our lives.  We were able to visit a lot of family during our stay and even swung through Salem, South Dakota, on the way back home to visit even more family.  The day after we returned I took Julia in to the Dr. and discovered that she had a double ear infection.  Needless to say, she was quite the trooper in the car despite how uncomfortable she must have been.  Thanks again, Hauans, for such a great time!  Here are some pictures and videos from our week:

"Read my shirt.  I love Grandma Gloria... and Grandma Donna... and Grandma Marcella!"

Cal meeting Great-Grandma Donna for the first time.
Babies can nap anywhere!  Even on Great-Grandma Donna's floor.

Meeting Great Uncle Richard for the first time.

Bath time with "Cousin Cousin" was truly a highlight of the day for Julia.

Julia and her cousin Alyster.

Ted and Becky Seaman stopped by to see the kids as well.

While "helping" Grandma Gloria cook, Julia took this pepper to her little table and began to much on it like
an ear of corn.  Guess she likes yellow peppers!
