Weekend in Hubbard

We recently traveled to my hometown of Hubbard for an extended weekend where we celebrated Christmas, again, with my side of the family.  We had a great time hanging out at the farm, going to church, checking out Hubbard's NEW and BEAUTIFUL library, opening gifts, visiting our friends the Cathcarts (thanks again for sharing your family with us, Steph!), playing cards, and simply just hanging out.  Below are some pictures and videos of our four day weekend:

Julia enjoyed playing with all of her Uncle Ryan's tractors, trucks, and other farm equipment.

The children's section at the brand-new Hubbard Public Library.
We just can't get enough of that Santa outfit.

The Cathcarts stopped by to meet Cal for the first time.  Stephanie and I have been friends since
we were two, so it's always nice to pick up where we left off... plus spouses... and now four children.

It's funny how quickly kiddos can catch on to fun holiday activities such as trick-or-treating and opening up Christmas gifts!

A gift for our Bird Girl from Grandpa and Grandma--a PEACOCK!
Now her bird collection is complete with all of her favorites, Mr. Crow, an owl, and a peacock.

Once again Cal really enjoyed opening up Christmas gifts.

The apple didn't fall too terribly far from the tree...

So much fun--so much sleep!
